Tyre International Festival in 2017 is about producing a tribute to the city Sour as a contribution to the anchored city in history.
The festival council wanted to offer a big-opening show to create a sense of celebration that lives up to the beauty and richness of Sour city.
Agafi Group had the honour to work alongside the well-known musician and composer, Jamal A-Hosn. They worked together on the concept and directorial vision as well as many aspects of the show like storytelling, poetry, scenography, songs, choreography and logistics.
Symphonic Colours is a civilization, art, beauty and musical vision of a global and heritage nature as we melt arts that touch the highest levels of technology and diversification.
The Concept behind the work
The spectacle was inspired by the evolution of civilizations to the movement of the planets. It was an expressive and spectacular musical work that was based on diverse international music between modern art and popular memory. We illustrated poetry, audio paintings and choreography in a dramatic directorial combination that blends the art of contemporary audio-visual expressions.
The resulting 90-minute show, which incorporated music and live performance and painted the night sky with colourful light.
