Symphonic Colours,a tribute to Tyre.
The opening show of the 2017 Tyre International Festival, made with composer Jamal Abu Hosn in the city’s Roman hippodrome.
An opening worthy of the city.
The festival council wanted a big opening show, a celebration that lives up to the beauty and history of Tyre.
People in the Roman hippodrome on opening night.
Of music, poetry, choreography and light.
From civilisations to the planets.
Agafi Group shaped the show alongside the composer Jamal Abu Hosn.
Together we worked on the concept and the direction, and on the storytelling, poetry, scenography, songs, choreography and logistics behind them.
The show traced the evolution of civilisations to the movement of the planets. International music met popular memory, and poetry, audio paintings and choreography were staged as one dramatic piece.
Three minutes of the night.
Choir, orchestra and the screens behind them, from the opening of the 2017 festival.
